Private Client Solicitor

About the role

The role will be focused on our Private Client offering to a wide range of clients including High Net Worth individuals, entrepreneurs and families. The tasks you will be carrying out include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Take Private Client instructions and advise on the most appropriate course of action to meet client’s needs; taking appropriate action in executing clients’ instructions in a timely manner
  • Deal with matters appropriately, including communication with clients over the telephone, by email and in face-to-face meetings, and with other solicitors and professional organisations over the telephone, by email and correspondence
  • Prioritising your workload, maintaining accurate records of time spent on all activities, ensuring that bills are presented on time and that the agreed procedures within the Company relating to case management and file control are adhered to
  • You will help to improve the department with regular reviews of the systems, controls and processes to determine whether they are fit for purpose as the environment and service delivery requirements change
  • To achieve personal and team targets, audit and quality requirements, service level agreements (SLA), and key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Maintaining professional competence through continuous professional development, and maintaining relevant training records which satisfy the current regulations and requirements as specified by The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA)
  • Carry out business development activities acting as an ambassador for the firm, taking a proactive approach to building professional relationships with clients and other contacts
  • Assisting in the supervision of junior solicitors, trainee solicitors, paralegals and supporting staff as required in accordance with your experience

About you

  • PQE – 2+ years
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Good “hands-on” private client experience in Wills, Trusts, Lasting Power of Attorney and Trust and Estate Administration, with an ambition to develop your skills and qualifications in the areas of tax and STEP Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to nurture existing clients and third-party relationships as well as the ability to help develop new business and assist in networking events
  • The ability to communicate complex legal matters in everyday terms
  • Keen business development and networking skills
  • Strong drafting and negotiating skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team made up of legal and non-legal professionals
  • IT skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and case management systems

IT Support

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled First Line IT Support to join an established IT team. The role will be located in Bromley and you will provide services to other offices and will therefore involve some travel to our other offices.

We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude and positive approach. If you are willing to work hard, be part of the team we would be interested to hear from you.

We will only consider applicants with at least 2 months previous experience and academic qualifications in IT.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and services, directly impacting the productivity and efficiency of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to the firm’s users, handling a variety of IT issues and service requests efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the firm’s key systems using AD, Microsoft 365 Admin Center’s, Citrix Cloud, and Remote Support Software.
  • Act as a technical expert and trainer to all users
  • Liaise closely with the senior IT support to resolve more complex issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records of all support requests
  • Participate in regular reviews and updates of IT support procedures to enhance service delivery and user satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in IT support technologies and best practices, and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of the IT support function.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a first-line IT support role, ideally within the legal sector or a similar professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in using and supporting key systems, including basic knowledge of hardware, connectivity, telephony and domain joined systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to learning and professional development.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certifications, degree (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
  • Previous experience within a law firm or legal services environment is highly desirable.

Marketing & Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on marketing and business development professional with experience of executing marketing and business development strategies within the legal sector.

Working closely with the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for

  • Growing the business development capabilities in the firm, reporting on revenue, leads generated, ROAS, and profit / growth opportunities
  • Coordinate client networking events / seminars / webinars
  • Managing the digital distribution of newsletters
  • Growing reviews and managing legal accreditation submissions
  • Supporting fee earners in building their BD capabilities and networks

As a law firm, we work very closely with Wellers Impact, an impact investment management specialist. Wellers Impact structures funds for innovations and entrepreneurs that aim to find a path forward for sustainable development. One day per week would be spent supporting communications and social media within Wellers Impact.
